Fundamentals I teach

I strive to train complete keepers by focusing on proven elements that develop strong technique, sharp decision-making, and real confidence. Here are six essential areas we work on.

Handling & catching

Learn to master hand-eye coordination and develop secure, confident handling. Catch cleanly, control shots effectively, and prevent rebounds through consistent practice and proper technique. 

Footwork

Develop agility, balance, and quick lateral movements to position yourself effectively. Fast footwork is essential for recovering quickly and making crucial second saves.

Diving

Learn safe and efficient diving technique to extend your reach. Dive with proper form to parry shots away from the danger zone and protect your goal.

Positioning

Learn to adopt the correct body shape in a balanced ready stance. The right posture is essential to cut down angles, improve balance, and enable explosive reactions to shots. 

Distribution

Modern goalkeepers act as playmakers. Develop accuracy with both feet when rolling, throwing, or kicking the ball to start attacks quickly and effectively.

Aerial Balls

Track the flight of high balls accurately and claim crosses confidently. Learn techniques to safely clear dangerous aerial threats from the penalty area.
